Remove Salt/Ice Melter Paint-like Residue

If your detergent cannot remove the ugly white "salt" film, try using Gabriel Winter Rinse.  It will remove the "mess" and you'll be pleased.  Mix @ 1 to 2 ounces per gallon of water. First, sweep the floor with a poly-bristle (does not absorb liquid) broom to remove any "pieces" of ice melter chemical which may result in streaked or scratched floors.

Important:  The more severe the white paint-like film is on the floor, a greater quantity of Winter Rinse solution needs to be applied to the floor and it needs to set for a longer time before being picked up.  Time is needed to allow the water to absorb the soil—from 1 to 5 minutes.

When the locked-on white soil is severe, picking up with a water vacuum may work better than trying to mop it up.  Winter Rinse also works well in auto scrubbing machines.
