Item Numbers: 48001, 48005, 48055

Product Description

Royal Kote is a unique, thermoplastic resin dispersion specifically developed for the protection of interior and exterior non-resilient surfaces.  Royal Kote is a water-based coating developed for industrial use where durability and chemical resistance are required and for exterior application where non-yellowing and water resistance properties are essential..  Available by the gallon, a 5 gallon pail, or a 55 gallon drum.

Advantages

Royal Kote is a water based product, so it does not have the odor of a solvent based system, but is as durable as the solvent based systems. Royal Kote can be used indoor or outdoors, will not yellow, and can be stripped if necessary.

Uses

For use on interior and exterior concrete, brick, slate, exposed aggregate, quarry tile, unglazed ceramic tile, Mexican tile, and masonry walls and floors as well as other surfaces.  Coverage will vary by surface and conditions, but an the average is aproximately 1,000 square feet per gallon for the first coat, 1,200 for the second, and 1,500 for the third or more.

Directions

    INTERIOR FLOORS
Remove all grease, oil and other foreign material by scrubbing with Gabriel Fast-1-2-3 detergent and a brush with necessary aggressiveness. The procedure is:  1.) Mix the detergent @ ˝ ounce per gallon of cold water.  2.) Apply to the floor and scrub until soil is loosened.  3.) Vacuum or mop up spent solution.  4.) Flush with or apply fresh water and vacuum or mop up.  Allow floor to dry thoroughly.  When going over permanent coatings, it may require that the surface be abraded with a 100 mesh screen-back disk.  If there is a question of adhesion, perform a test patch before beginning the job.  Apply with a lambs wool applicator, finish mop, or, if the floor is porous, a low pressure sprayer.  Allow one hour dry time, depending on conditions, before applying second coat.  A third coat may be applied if desired.  The final coat should dry 6-8 hours before subjecting to traffic.

.

    EXTERIOR SURFACES
Clean soiled surfaces and apply as described above.  For vertical surfaces, work from the bottom up.  May also be applied with a lambs wool applicator.  Allow 30 minutes or more to dry, depending on conditions, before applying the next coat.  A minimum of 2 coats is recommended for optimum protection and weathering resistance.  Reduce amount of product sprayed on vertical surfaces after first coat to minimize runoff.

.

    FOOD AREAS
Remove any exposed food or food products from area where coating is being applied.

.

    STREAKING OR POOR LEVELING
If there is evidence of streaking or poor leveling, immediately moisten surface by damp mopping or mist spraying.

.

    FOOD AREAS
Remove any exposed food or food products from area where coating is being applied.

Cautions:
